Re: FirePro V7800
Welcome to the folding support forum. Part of the issue has been a change in the requirements for many of the GPU projects. They found for many of them that they needed to use mixed precision, single precision calculations for most operations and using double precision for some critical calculations...

Re: Radeon 5700 XT unsupported due to driver issues [19.7.4]
Given prior examples of issues related to cards released on new hardware architectures, my guess would be a fix might not show up any sooner that a 19.8.n release. possibly not until version 20.

Re: RTX 2080 Ti & GTX 1080 Ti low PPD?
Welcome to the folding support forum. There are two main possibilities for the low PPD reported. First, do you have a passkey entered into the folding client? Second, for about the last month some projects from specific servers will report points based on just the base points, no Quick Return Bonus ...

Most, if not all, current GPU projects are requiring mixed precision calculations on the GPU. The Turks based cards do not support double precision so will only get an assignment if WU's for a GPU project that does not require double is available.

Re: Username not showing on the donor list
Welcome to the folding support forum. There have been a number of changes to the way the stats lookups work over the last year. Some of those changes were to control the load on the database and the frontend system that queries it. One result is that some ways of looking up your various F@h stats wi...

Re: Total points not are received
@krilenko Your problem is unrelated to the one in the prior posts of this topic. The various Assignment and Work Servers are in the process of having the server software updated, One of the issues that was encountered a few weeks ago was that the first updated WS's stopped giving the bonus points fo...

Re: Please add Radeon Pro WX Vega M GL
It will be interesting to see if the Vega M GPU's in these Intel packaged devices - a Kaby Lake CPU with an AMD GPU chip and video RAM - can eventually be used for folding. After reading a number of articles and posts on various other sites, there do appear to be a number of potential problems getti...

Re: folding@home android version not possible
Sony discontinued support for the Android client. Here is the announcement from last year - viewtopic.php?f=100&t=30663#p300443. At some point in the future an Android client may get released based on the code that Sony open sourced. But other higher priority software updates need to be taken care o...

Re: Project 8690 bad WU
That looks like the work folder for an A7 WU, it uses different files than A4. The .json files are used by FAHViewer in version 7.5.1 of the client. 7.4.4 used a different method of displaying the protein in FAHViewer for A4 WU's.

Re: Project 8690 bad WU
I am at work so can't look at what work files are present for an A4 WU being processed. If I recall right, within the work folder there would a full logging of the messages that get passed on to the FAHClient process and a MD>log file. They go away at some point in the processing restart, but can co...

Re: Project 8690 bad WU
The "INTERRUPTED" messages are a sign of the problem, but not the actual problem. A variation of that message will also be entered into the log file during normal stoppage of the folding core. The "improper termination" message is what is more significant. What happened in the processing of the WU i...

Re: Project 8690 bad WU
Both WU's you have reported went on to be processed successfully by others. Besides the rare possibility of a WU not decomposing into 3 threads for processing, the WU;'s could have been corrupted somehow. One possible cause is anti-virus scans getting a false match when some random binary data in a ...

Re: F@H Web Control Client Freaking Out
I have a problem with the F@H web control thing where it refreshes every second or so and freaks out. I know that there's a bug report option in the client but it closes the prompt window every time that it refreshes so I can't type anything. I've tried restarting my computer and even uninstalling ...

Re: Below expected performance
Yes, the first message: 21:29:37:WARNING:WU00:FS00:AS lowered CPUs from 6 to 3 indicates the was downloaded from the servers with a maximum thread count of 3, that overrides the client setting. The WU resumed from a checkpoint at 86%. Why it used 3 instead of 4 on Light I am not sure. The older vers...

Re: Below expected performance
There have been changes to both the client and the server for folding that could be causing what you are seeing. The effects of the server end changes may have been partially masked from view in the older client. We would;ld need information from the beginning section of your log file through the cl...
