19.7.5 looks like another game specific driver.
Has anyone confirmed if same issue occurs in Linux?

Re: Core 22 on Advanced
Picked up first one of these on an AMD RX 460 and it seems stable so far. However, GPU load fluctuates a lot. This card generally produces 80-115K PPD but estimated PPD is currently 75K. Windows 8.1 with 17.7.1 drivers (newest available for this config). *********************** Log Started 2019-03-1...

Re: When the core 22 will be tested?
There are currently 5 projects listed on psummary using OPENMM_22. I have no idea when they first started appearing there.

Re: FahCore_a7 0.0.17 fails to start on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
Have you installed the updates for 14.04 (v3.13)? Those pre-reqs may be included as part of the Long Term Support process. Yes, Ubuntu version is 14.04.5 LTS and kernel is currently 3.13.0-149. In the issue I linked to, jcoffland mentioned compiling with one version older to keep FAHClient compatib...

Re: FahCore_a7 0.0.17 fails to start on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
The only dependencies I'm aware of are minimum versions of glibc (2.17) and glibc++ (3.4.15). Here's the output from ldd FahCore_a7: ./FahCore_a7: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6: version `CXXABI_1.3.9' not found (required by ./FahCore_a7) ./FahCore_a7: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++....

FahCore_a7 0.0.17 fails to start on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
Either because of version 0.0.17 or the core URL switch, this machine has been trashing a7 work units until it is assigned an a4 work unit. It's an original Core 2 Duo without AVX and uses the SSE version of the core. Last successful a7 with 0.0.16 from fahwebx.stanford.edu: 11:24:32:WU00:FS00:Conne...

Re: Seeking advise on new AMD GPU
The RX 550 will generate less than half the PPD of the 560. RX 550 ~= 1.1 GFLOPS RX 560 ~= 2.4 GFLOPS My ranking of the GPUs in this price range would be as follows: 1. RX 560 2GB dedicated to FAH / 4GB if gaming 2. RX 460 2GB dedicated to FAH / 4GB if gaming 3. RX 550 2GB 4. RX 550 4GB https://en.w...

Re: Add Vega 8 Mobile Graphics
Please let us know when you have some PPD numbers. I have a Kaveri A8 7600 3.1GHz (3.8GHz boost). When folding on the GPU, the CPU down clocks to 2.4GHz to stay within 65W. Other tasks can cause the CPU to boost but then power usage briefly goes over 80W. CPU slot 2 threads 1500PPD on Core A4 work u...

Re: Is there going to be new cores to take advantage of new
Some smaller projects are excluded from running on newer GPUs because of low PPD, e.g. p9842 . The current restriction seems to be based on GPU family and there is a large range in performance between the fastest slow card within a generation. Could GPUs.txt and the assignment server logic be enhanc...

Re: Windows vs Linux
Getting back on topic, this OpenMM issue gives a bit of insight. When running on Windows, the OpenCL platform already does a yield() after each time step. We assume that if you're on Windows, it's most likely F@H and you want to sacrifice some performance to keep the UI more responsive. On Linux, we...

Re: Is there going to be new cores to take advantage of new
This is the latest official post I could find about the upcoming FahCore 22. Unfortunately it's from October 2016. Since then OpenMM has released 7.1 and 7.1.1. The current FahCore 21 is based on OpenMM 6.2 or 6.3 IIRC.

Thanks ComputerGenie. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be an obvious correlation.
