Re: 65.254.110.245:8080': No WUs available for this configur

Mine are back up and running - just had a couple of GPUs that couldn't get WUs for a while.

Re: 65.254.110.245:8080': No WUs available for this configur

I have exactly the same issue cropped up on one GPU so far ...

Re: HFM.NET - Monitoring Application for Folding@Home v6/v7

I've noticed a couple of instabilities of HFM when a client (I think it started with v7.5.1) is monitored over the network and disconnects, but I don't have an exact reproduction case. If you want to try to reproduce the issue, add a remote client to HFM (another machine on the same network), then,...

Re: opencl-index=-1

Interesting experience about the driver ppa - I'll make a note of that. Anyway, this was the first machine to transition to Ubuntu 18.04, so I installed it on a test machine. Now everything seems to be up and running as it should be that means, when I transition all the other Linux Folding machines,...

Re: opencl-index=-1

Strange - it was complete enough to Fold on the GPUs, but not complete enough for the log file to be correct ... I set up a new install of Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, and the drivers were from the Ubuntu graphics-drivers PPA (sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa), and running the proprietary nVidi...

Re: opencl-index=-1

@bollix47 I have run the code you gave (though modified it to 'apt-get') and then restarted the Client - this does correct the two OpenCL lines in the log. I also went back into the client and reset the opencl-index values to -1 - this seems to be OK as well. So, it seems that though FAH came up wit...

Re: opencl-index=-1

Yes, it looks like if I do a client restart I get the same message; ******************************** 15:26:09: CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz 15:26:09: CPU ID: GenuineIntel Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 11 15:26:09: CPUs: 4 15:26:09: Memory: 3.85GiB 15:26:09: Free Memory: 3.33GiB 15:2...

Re: opencl-index=-1

Not sure why it could not recognise that OpenCL was present - I had even checked it was there by running clinfo . So, if it doesn't recognise that OpenCL is present, why did it start Folding on both GPUs when I changed the opencl-index values? Both GPUs are now on their 3rd WU ... If you, or the dev...

Re: opencl-index=-1

@bruce 1) I understood that GPUs.txt was supposed to get pulled down, but unfortunately, it has never done so for me. 2) The log is a bit of a mess as I had to stop and start it a number of times to, for example; stop the CPU folding, get it restart with the GPUs.txt file manually installed, set rem...

Re: opencl-index=-1

For what it is worth ... I did a new install of Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on my test machine (which has two GTX 970s) and put on the v7.5.1 client. Two issues I came across; 1. As always with a fresh install of the fahclient, GPUs.txt is not present (this has ALWAYS happened to me every time I have installed...

Thanks for that.
One of the mods, then, needs to update the link.

Blog Link not working

Just for info - The Blog link at the top of the Folding Forum page no longer seems to work - it appears the blog has moved, as its not here (http://folding.stanford.edu/home/blog) anymore.

Re: Core 21 0.0.18 - Hangs on core update

Are these GPU's in the same system? If so, the update is waiting on all folding slots using the old version of the core to complete. The client is not designed such that the core can be updated while it is actively being used. That is common to all software, I know of few programs that can do updat...

Core 21 0.0.18 - Hangs on core update

I've had a few GPU WUs upload within the last minutes, and then they hang waiting for the new core update. When the message from The Official Blog says the new core is being 'pushed out', it needs to be pushed out a bit harder so as not to hang clients(!)

Re: Stats not updating?

Stats definitely down - perhaps the server decided it needed a break at Christmas as well :-) (Might be worth one of the Stanford team posting in Vijay's blog to indicate to others that there is a Stats server issue, as the last message in the blog (from the 8th Dec) currently says 'Stats back onlin...
