Re: 65.254.110.245:8080': No WUs available for this configur

I had to restart one of my slots to get work on full fah but so far all my other full fah slots are working fine. My clients are configured for "Any" preference.

After checking all logs I see there were some problems earlier today ... around 2-4 hours before this post but they are all folding now.

Re: FAHControl/Web Client not connecting to FAHClient

When installing the latest nvidia driver on Windows the installer asks you to decide whether or not you want Geforce experience just after the system Compatibility test. This is a fairly new choice and easily missed. Nvidia Graphics Driver and Geforce Experience Nvidia Graphics Driver The default is...

Re: HTTP_INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR

FYI

I saw the same message many times yesterday ... I have not seen it so far today ... problem was probably at server end but I have no 'inside' knowledge of what may have caused it.

I think it's safe to say that the problem was not at our end.

Re: FAHControl/Web Client not connecting to FAHClient

... There is a custom option but I already have all items ticket. What is the make & model of your GPU? Download the driver installation file from the appropriate manufacturer's website ( e.g. http://www.nvidia.com/drivers ) First the later installers ask you to decide between Driver + GeForce Expe...

Re: HFM.NET - Monitoring Application for Folding@Home v6/v7

When adding a client to HFM the address it's looking for is the network address of the client you're trying to monitor. Depending on the network setup it can be either the ComputerName or the I.P. address (e.g. 192.168.?.???) of the client you're trying to add.

Re: Some numbers: RTX cards

any numbers about gtx-1000 series cards (gtx 1060, 1070 or 1080)? how fast is gtx 1000 serie folding? is rtx folding faster than gtx? The GTX models you mention can get ~400K 700K 800k PPD respectively in linux. The RTX 2060 can get ~1.2M in linux. So, yes, the current RTX models are doing well in ...

Re: limit cpu usage of cpu client?

You have not included the o/s you're using but here are a couple of additional hints in case you don't want to decrease the # of CPUs: Windows 10 - under power options - Processor power management - decrease Maximum Percentage For linux you could setup an rc.local file (if you don't already have one...

We are just volunteers with varying levels of knowledge who try to support other volunteers with folding@home related problems. Since folding@home has nothing to...

Re: F@H 7.5.1 doesn't start!

I've installed the drivers you were using prior to your latest update and had no problems ... the opencl files were installed properly. This is sounding more & more like a permissions issue where something has been done to stop files being created in the Windows folder ... I have seen some security ...

Re: F@H 7.5.1 doesn't start!

@Yesorno Does the user that you used to install the nvidia driver have full admin privileges? If not you need to right click the driver installer and select "Run as administrator". Do you have any security software that could deny the creation of files in c:\windows? Does your c: drive have plenty o...

Re: F@H 7.5.1 doesn't start!

Try getting your driver from http://www.nvidia.com/drivers not geforce.com. fyi I'm using win 10 1809 and nvidia driver 418.91 which can be found by clicking "Beta & older drivers" Also, have a look at the following link to see if anything there might explain your missing opencl: https://docs.micros...

Re: GTX1080 not working

Have you checked Task Manager to see if another process is using a lot of CPU resources? The folding process does run at a pretty low priority so if something else is using a lot of CPU that can cause a folding slowdown for your GPU as the CPU is used to 'feed' the GPU.

Re: GTX1080 not working

I too have a 1080 and the TPFs for all projects are under 4 minutes so you definitely have a hardware or setting problem somewhere as opposed to just a Passkey mistype although when you were getting 8000 PPD a wrong Passkey may have had something to do with such a low number. As for hardware ensure ...
